A 1-year position as Postdoctoral Fellow is available in Ebbe Bødtkjers laboratory at the Department of Biomedicine 1017327

The position is available from 1 Febuary 2019 or soon thereafter and focuses on development and evaluation of novel pharmacological tools for inhibition of acid-base transporters in cancer tissue. We aim at developing drugs that target acidic waste product elimination in solid cancer tissue in order to disrupt cancer cell metabolism and interfere with cancer progression.

The applicant will use fluorescence microscopy for intracellular pH recordings in human and murine breast cancer cells, induce and evaluate breast cancer development in mice, assess tissue metabolism based on microdialysis sampling, and perform various antibody-based biochemical methods.

Desired qualifications include
a) experience handling animals and performing animal experiments,
b) working under sterile conditions in cell laboratories,
c) producing, purifying and performing quality control of monoclonal antibodies.

Appointment as a postdoc requires academic qualifications at PhD level.
