Sustainability in degree programmes

In the fall of 2021, Aarhus University offered a total of 135 courses that are directly related to the UN's 17 sustainable development goals. Below you can see how many courses that relate to a specific SDG. Some courses relate to more than one SDG.

How is sustainability integrated into AU’s degree programmes?

AU has analysed all of the Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees courses offered at the university to determine which ones relate specifically to the UN’s SDGs. All of the courses on the list explicitly refer to sustainability in the course description.

  • Because many of these courses are relevant to more than one SDG, they are listed more than once under different SDGs.
  • The SDG a specific course is linked to has a direct influence on content and learning outcomes, and all of them are relevant to sustainability in general across the 17 SDGs.
  • AU offers many other courses that relate to sustainability and the UN’s SDGs. The list here is limited to courses that have working with sustainability as a specific goal.
