Søren Bro Pold

Søren Bro Pold is an associate professor, PhD in digital aesthetics and researcher in the area of digital aesthetics with focus on interfaces including e.g. digital literature, net art, software art, creative software, digital culture and digital urban space.

Currently, he is the leader of the research programme ‘Humans and Information Technology’, part of the interdisciplinary Participatory Information Technology Centre (PIT) at AU and the research project ‘Literature between media’. His research interest is characterised by an interest in interface aesthetics and interface criticism as a perspective which discusses the role and development of the interface in relation to art, aesthetics, culture and IT. As regards teaching, Søren Pold is one of the initiators and lecturers of the Digital Design programme at AU. He has also played an active role in university administration and politics e.g. as a member of the Academic Council at the Faculty of Humanities from 2004-2012 (the last two years as vice-chair).
