Aarhus University provides a housing service for new exchange students and freemovers. It is recommended that you apply for housing through AU Housing while also exploring alternative options, such as www.studenthousingaarhus.com.
The earlier you commence your housing search, the greater your chances of securing accommodation. In the event that AU Housing is unable to offer you a room, you will be notified no later than December 15th for the spring term or July 1st for the autumn term.
Student Housing Aarhus is responsible for managing the majority of dormitory rooms in Aarhus. It's important to note that Aarhus University and Student Housing Aarhus are separate organizations, and students may be eligible to apply for housing through both entities. Due to high demand, both organizations often have lengthy waiting lists, so it's advisable to sign up as early as possible. Students can register for the waiting list at Student Housing Aarhus up to 6 months before the start of their studies, and admission documents are not required at the time of registration. Ideally located at Helsingforsgade 4 close to Aarhus University, the student apartments in Basecamp are a great place to call home while you study.
