Centre for Alcohol and Drug Research, Department of Psychology and Behavioural Sciences at Aarhus University invites applications for a position in social science drug and alcohol research at the assistant professor level.

Centre for Alcohol and Drug Research (CRF) is an interdisciplinary social science research center. The successful candidate holds a PhD within a social science discipline, such as anthropology, economics, political science, psychology or sociology, and has research experience within social science drug and alcohol research. In the application, the candidate is expected to develop one or more concrete suggestions for research projects within the Center’s research field (treatment, prevention, consumption, and policy).

The position is vacant from September 1, 2018 or as soon as possible thereafter.

Who are we

At the Centre for Alcohol and Drug Research we carry out social-science research in the alcohol and drug field. Our research projects concerns the treatment, prevention, policy and recreational consumption. We conduct research in both legal and illegal drugs. The Centre is interdisciplinary and the employees is based on, among other things. anthropology, Psychology, sociology, law and public health. Our task is to establish and conduct research projects, teach, communicate knowledge about alcohol and drug abuse, and collaboration with national players in the area as well as international research institutions.
